Civil Construction Projects

Resort Pool Construction- St. John, U.S.V.I.

  • This project consisted of the demolition of an existing pool that was structurally distressed by soft, consolidating foundation soils, and the fast-track design and construction of a new swimming pool at a five-star resort
  • After demolition and removal of the existing pool, the 100-foot by 100-foot pool with adjacent whirlpools, required design and construction within a four-month period to coincide with the opening of the resort
  • Fifty-eight, 60-foot-long steel H-piles were driven down to bedrock to support the structurally designed concrete pool and allow the foundation soils to consolidate below the pool bottom without cracking or damaging the pool
