About Us

Opal is a technically knowledgeable environmental remediation and heavy civil engineering and construction contractor. The company provides cost-competitive engineering, construction and related consulting services nationwide and internationally from its centrally located operations in Colorado since 2000. Our clients represent a broad range of Fortune 500 manufacturing, mining, oil & gas and aerospace companies, law firms, municipalities, and other non-enforcement government agencies. Opal’s personnel include civil engineers, geologists, surface water hydrologists, environmental scientists, construction managers, cost-estimators, and schedulers. These individuals are supported in the field by Opal’s construction superintendents, equipment operators and laborers. The staff holds professional engineering and excavation/grading and demolition contractor licenses in various states.

Our field construction supervisors each have more than 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction and environmental remediation. Many also have degrees in construction management, civil engineering and/or related disciplines. Using this experience, training and education, our staff has successfully completed unique multidisciplinary construction projects in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and South America.

In addition to engineering and construction services, Opal's senior personnel provide construction-related consulting services. These services include cost estimating and feasibility determinations, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, claims analyses, dispute resolution, and expert witness testimony.

Worker and project environmental Health and Safety are Opal's top priorities. Opal's record of maintaining worker safety is above construction industry averages.
