Asphalt Emulsions Plant Excavation, Transportation, and Disposal

This site was the former location of an asphalt emulsions plant. Contaminated soils were excavated by Opal Group, Inc. and transported seventy-five miles one-way for disposal at the City of Fargo Landfill. A total of 1,259 tons of contaminated soils were transported in seventy-six truckloads. The empty trucks were subsequently loaded with clean clay fill for backhauling to the site to minimize trucking costs.
